Busy Weekend

Meeting the BF (Friday)

So Friday we went to Grand Rapids to meet Staci and Garry and do some shopping. After we drove ALL the way down to 28th Street to get to the Applebees (gross) Staci wanted to eat at (cuz it was easier for her lol..) we had lunch with the fam, and met Garry. It was fun catching up with my sis even though i saw her the past 2 weeks, its nice to see her as much as i can as sometimes i don't see her for lunch. We had lunch, talked about Staci stories (those are NEVER boring) and some things that she just never learned growing up (Um Daylight savings time? really staci? lol). It was a good time. We also met her boyfriend Garry who is from Atlanta but grew up in North Carolina. He was definately raised with southern manners (yes sir/mam) I think that made my parents feel old but it was definately polite. He passed the sister test which is good, cuz i always gotta watch out for my family....

Pricing For Nana's Yard Sale
Saturday was a busy/tiring day. We got up and headed down to Nanas by 9am (well mom did but i didn't get there til 10:30 lol). We had to sort out items and price everything for the yardsale they are having soon. Boy was it a long day. i guess sorting and pricing items from 50 years! would surely take a long time. It was a really fun day though. Uncle Dick was there and of course he ALWAYS causes trouble. It was even worse because a long time friend of Uncle Dick and Boppy was up from Tennessee Bob McNich. He got stranded in Michigan as he hauls horse trailers/campers back and forth from the south and north but had a problem with his Truck. My 2nd cousin Beth was there with her 2 sons, and Aunt Chris, Mom, Nana, Melissa, and me. We had a lot of fun, joking around, telling stories, and listening to Uncle Dick's and Bob's great jokes. We also had a great lunch as Mwah provided some pretty tasty cheesy potatoes. They were a big hit, everyone ate them and they went over well. Overall it was a great weekend.

We have to read like A TON!!! its craziness.I just can't wait to graduate lol...

Summer 2008

Hey Everyone! I haven't blogged in what seems like forever! Sorry! Summer has been crazy. Summer flew by so fast after I moved home this summer. This summer was crazy busy! I went to Costa Rica (AMAZING!), had my colorado friends come and visit, the fair, and my discipler Emery got married! Summer was great this year.

Costa Rica

For those of you who don't know, I went to Costa Rica for a week this summer with the college group called Cutting Edge ministries. It was the most amazing time I've ever had. God blessed me with a safe and life changing trip where I met some amazing people who are so on fire for the Lord. God opened my eyes up to a lot of things on the trip. He put things into perspective for. Its so awesome how God works in us. We stayed at the PortanTorchas bible school while we were there. The first we did construction within the school of varnishing, painting, sanding, construction on a bathroom for more people, and building a retaining wall. We also had a free day where we went to a see an active volcano, BEAUTIFUL waterfalls of costa rica, and we went to watch a live soccer game in the town of San Jose..That was a cool experience. Everyday we had a morning devotion with the principle and manager of the bible school. They both had neat stories. We also would meet at night just our group and were reading this devotional book by Max Lucado. Costa Rice was so awesome.

Colorado

About a week and a half after I got back from Costa Rica the group from Colorado came to Michigan. Last year we went to Craig, Colorado as part of our 4H exchange trip they came here this summer. It was a great time catching up, seeing face to face again, and showing them around Michigan. They were so fascinated with our Meijer store because they have never heard of them. I will never forget how fascinated Cherie was with the "light bugs" (lightning bugs). While they were here we did an overnight bus trip up to Mackinaw Island. It was so fun. They loved the bridge and the island. We made a lot of memories. The free day to the beach with Cherie, Jen, My mom, and myself is unforgettable. Go CMWCC! lol...It was sad to see them go. I loved colorado and my friends there!

FAIR

There's not much that really happend during the fair. Pretty much the same thing except that I didn't show this year and was a 4H Dairy club leader. Crazy thought. Me being a leader? lol it's actually a lot of fun because you get to help out all the youngsters with their calves and they are SO cute.

THE DINGEE WEDDING

Lastly this summer I had a wedding for and amazing Godly couple. Emery who was like a big sis and her fiance Matt. I got to get to know and learn from Emery since February. We would meet weekly til about mid-summer when both of our schedules got so crazy. She taught me many things about my faith. She The are currently in connecticut where Matt got a job after graduation from Pepperidge Farms. The wedding was a blast and i'll miss you both!
